Daniel Demers is President of GardaWorld’s alarm and technical services business. He joined GardaWorld in the fall of 2017 to launch a new electronic security services business unit.
Prior to joining GardaWorld, he served as President and CEO of Protectron Inc., and led them to become the second-largest electronic security company in Canada. From his appointment as president in 1997 and up until the company was sold to ADT in July 2014, the company grew at a compounded rate of 18%. The above-average industry growth was the result of a superior customer retention rate, strong internal growth from multiple sales channels, and a substantial amount of successfully integrated acquisitions of all sizes. He successfully steered all strategic and operational aspects of the company, while drawing on his strong financial acumen to help the company generate substantial profits and cash flow.
As President of GardaWorld’s Security Systems business, Daniel’s primary mandate is to continue developing our Canadian operations, while ensuring customer service excellence and financial profitability.
Perfectly bilingual, Daniel holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Ottawa University, and is a member of the Quebec Chartered Professional Accountants Order.
