Prentice Robertson joined GardaWorld in 2019 as Chief Operating Officer, Security Services—United States. His mandate is to consolidate the Whelan Security and United American Security brands to form and lead GardaWorld’s U.S. Security Services business unit. In addition, he is responsible for expanding U.S. operations while driving best-in-class high-touch service, operational excellence, employee engagement and financial profitability. As a values-driven leader, Prentice has always had a passion for serving his clients and employees based on the principles of trust, promise-keeping, authenticity, urgency, transparency and servant leadership.
Prentice has thirty-three years of experience in management, marketing and sales leadership, twenty-eight of which were spent in the security services industry. Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Barton Protective Services, then Chief Operating Officer at Whelan Security before joining GardaWorld, Prentice Robertson demonstrated his expertise by leading exceptional organic growth plans for these two companies.
A graduate of the University of Georgia where he earned a bachelor’s degree from the prestigious Grady School of Journalism, Prentice is also a graduate of the ISMA Leadership Program hosted by the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
He is active in several industry organizations including the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) and ASIS International, through which he previously served on the Council for Business Practices. He also served on the Advisory Board for the Saint Louis University School of Criminal Justice in addition to being a member of C12 Group, an organization of Christian CEO’s and business owners.
