Hurricane Florence: GardaWorld Cash Services interruptions in Durham and Myrtle Beach
Our Emergency Preparedness team continues to monitor Hurricane Florence and impacts on our Cash Services operations.
Branches that are operating as business as usual are servicing clients based on road conditions, client hours of operation and accessibility to main roads. As such we are operating under force majeure.
- Durham: Cash vault services: business as usual; Anticipate running limited routes to Fayetteville, Jacksonville, and areas east of highway 17 and South of highway 70
- Myrtle Beach: Cash vault services: business as usual; Anticipate running limited routes around the Wilmington area
At this time, all branches marked as business as usual are fully operational, however we do anticipate road closures and lane reversals. Areas impacted will operate under force majeure. Our client hotline will also be updated accordingly (888-804-2589).
In the aftermath of Hurricane Florence we will be faced with handling contaminated coin and currency. The Atlanta Federal Reserve Bank website details the proper procedures for us regarding the depositing of contaminated funds into the Federal Reserve Bank. The safety of our employees and clients is a priority!
