GardaWorld Security at GSX 2026, Atlanta

GSX 2026 ended on September 16, but the conversations that took place in Atlanta are already shaping what comes next. More than 16,000 security professionals from over 80 countries gathered to examine emerging risks, new technology and the changing expectations placed on security teams.

For GardaWorld Security, the clearest takeaway was that organizations are looking beyond individual products and services. They want security programs that connect people, technology, intelligence and response, with clear accountability when conditions change.

GardaWorld Outstanding Contract Security Company (Guarding) win at the 2026 OSPAs

That insight gave new meaning to our GSX theme, Every Angle Covered. Following our Outstanding Contract Security Company Guarding win at the 2026 OSPAs, 130 specialists from across our organization came together at booth 2232. The scale of that presence mattered, but the discussions with clients and industry peers mattered more. They showed us where security programs are creating value today and where they need to go next.

Security challenges rarely fit one category

Many conversations began with a specific concern, such as improving video coverage, protecting a workplace, managing an event or gaining earlier warning of an emerging threat. They quickly expanded into broader questions about communication, escalation and decision-making.

That pattern reflects the reality security leaders face. A camera alert may require an on-site response. A global event may change access procedures at a local facility. A workplace incident may expose gaps in training, reporting and employee confidence. Treating each issue as a separate service can create delays and leave the client responsible for connecting the pieces.

Our direction is to design around the client’s risk and operating environment, rather than around internal service lines. An integrated program should give security teams a shared view of risk, defined response procedures and one point of accountability for performance.

AI creates value when expertise stays in the loop

Ten in-booth speaker sessions examined subjects including security intelligence, AI detection, anticipatory decision intelligence, remote video monitoring, workplace culture and the trends influencing security investment. Across these discussions, one point continued to surface: more data does not automatically produce better decisions.

AI can help identify patterns, filter large volumes of information and bring potential concerns forward faster. Its value depends on what happens next. Security professionals must assess context, validate what the technology has detected and determine the appropriate response. Without that human judgment, speed can amplify an incorrect conclusion just as easily as it can improve awareness.

GardaWorld Security will continue to advance an intelligence-led approach that combines technology with experienced people. The goal is to help clients move from seeing more activity to understanding what matters and acting with confidence. Recordings from the GSX sessions will continue that discussion on our YouTube channel in the coming weeks.

These sessions painted a clear picture: the future of security isn't AI or human expertise, but a combination of both, under the careful eyes of a security specialist.

People and culture remain central to performance

Technology drew significant attention at GSX, but the conversations also reinforced the importance of the people who represent a security program every day. Security professionals are often the most visible point of contact for employees, customers, patients, students and visitors. How they communicate can influence whether people feel protected, whether concerns are reported and whether procedures are followed.

Training, supervision and workplace culture therefore belong in the same conversation as technology and intelligence. A connected program depends on security professionals who understand the environment, use available tools well and know when to escalate. The future of security remains deeply human, even as the systems supporting those teams become more advanced.

Turning the lessons from GSX into action

The next phase is to translate these conversations into simpler, more effective security programs. For GardaWorld Security, that means building solutions around measurable outcomes, connecting on-site teams with monitoring and intelligence, and giving clients a clear operating model for response and accountability.

It also means continuing to listen. The risks discussed at GSX will evolve, and each organization will experience them differently. Our role is to bring the right expertise together, adapt the program as conditions change and help clients make informed decisions before isolated concerns become larger disruptions.

Every Angle Covered remains more than a tradeshow theme. It is the standard guiding where we go next: a GardaWorld Security program that sees risk in context, coordinates the right response and gives clients confidence that every capability is working toward the same outcome.

If you joined us at GSX, we look forward to continuing the conversation. If you could not attend and would like to discuss what these developments mean for your organization, connect with a GardaWorld Security expert.
