As you are aware, the heavy rains and extensive flooding that swept the Midwest recently caused tremendous damage and disruption throughout Illinois, Missouri, Iowa, Indiana and Michigan. Today, I am providing the latest update concerning Garda’s disaster recovery efforts.
I am happy to report that we have eliminated almost all of the credit backlog and most deposits picked up as of Friday, 4/26 will meet processing deadlines.
Also, our currency processing operations are now stabilized. The parts for our damaged coin processing equipment have been received and the equipment is scheduled to be repaired today. We expect to have all pending coin deposits processed within 72 hours.
While our throughput capacity was impacted by the flood, we appropriated the necessary equipment from our sites around the country in order sustain operations until the new equipment we have ordered arrives.
As a result of the sustained efforts of our staff, all pending requests for service have been fulfilled and Chicago’s routing and our shuttle network for Illinois, Iowa, Indiana and Wisconsin has been restored with minimal delays expected.
