Detroit Cash Vault Services team members make health a priority each day

May 18, 2016

GardaWorld was founded on a spirit of entrepreneurialism.  It’s a value that can be seen throughout our organization. It was the same entrepreneurial spirit that guided the Detroit, Michigan Cash Vault Services team to take the GardaWorld “Healthy Me, Healthy We” campaign to the next level by starting a Walk & Water Challenge.

“We were always talking about eating better and losing weight,” said Michelle Hobson, Detroit Site Manager. “So we decided to take action.”

The team includes Michelle, Tamara Smith, Tracy Ambuster, Janine Curtis, Timele Lloyd, Cynthia Colston, Courtney Jackson and Dawn Archambeau. Each day they have a goal of drinking a gallon of water and taking a couple of laps around the parking lot.

With the average American spending 10 hours a day sitting, walking can help curb the effects of a sedentary lifestyle. By implementing the Walk & Water Challenge, the Detroit team has effectively improved their mental wellbeing while reducing risk of heart disease, cancer, osteoporosis and more.

Join us in wishing the Detroit team luck on their journey to health!
