Female veterans and reservists of GardaWorld grace the cover of Canadian Military Family Magazine

GardaWorld’s implication with its recently-launched Veteran and Reservist Employment Program has landed a five-page spread in Canadian Military Family Magazine, and this time, we’re highlighting our female veteran and reservist workforce.

The article explains how GardaWorld values the expertise and experiences of veterans and reservists by offering a variety of career opportunities for military members in armored truck transport, aviation security, physical security, administration, and more.

Don’t just take our word for it. Melanie St-Onge, Reservist for the Canadian Armed Forces, has been on the GardaWorld team for 20 years and counting. In the magazine, she shares some of the challenges women face in a “man’s world,” and that as a trainer at GardaWorld, she instils in her students that "they are able to do anything.”

Read more of Melanie’s story, along with the profiles of other female veterans and reservists who have joined the GardaWorld team, here.

“Supporting Transitioning Veterans & Reservists with Employment Opportunities” reads the magazine headline—but at GardaWorld, we don’t just talk the talk; we walk the walk.

Former Member of Parliament and current Senior Vice President of Strategic Development for Security Services at GardaWorld, the Honorable Christian Paradis explains: “We’re trying to get involved with more and more specialty programs like the Veterans Transition Network, where we help female veterans, because we know that it’s more challenging for them to access services when transitioning from a military to civilian career.”
