Garda Brings “Game” To New York

January 20, 2011

On Wednesday September 22nd, a sleek and shiny Garda armored vehicle was in the spotlight in New York City as it delivered the official new uniforms of the National Basketball Association (NBA) to the league’s Fifth Avenue flagship store, one of the most expensive and exclusive retail locations in the world.

In front of a throng of excited New York fans and media, Garda Authorized Agents Elizabeth Cuellar, Kerlin Herrera, Daniel Lang and Sylvester Roseway removed the new Adidas light-weight, fast-drying uniforms and handed them to NBA stars Dwight Howard, Brook Lopez, Jordan Farmar, Wilson Chandler and Toney Douglas for delivery to the store. The Garda crew accompanied the players into the store and participated in the formal unveiling of the uniforms.

“Garda provides cash logistics services for the NBA store here in New York City,” explains Charles Strebeck, Vice President of Operations for the Northeast. “We were delighted to participate in this event and assist in delivering these new uniforms for the teams.”

“We brought our best ‘Garda Game’ to this event,” says District Manager Eric Goldwurm, who also thanked the behind-the-scenes employees who prepped the truck for its media debut and handled all of the logistical details. “Everyone from Garda performed like champions.”
