Nearly 350 people gathered at our Montreal branch recently to take part in the second annual “Family Day.” Over a dozen managers volunteered to welcome the Cash Services employees and their families for a behind the scenes look at the company’s world headquarters.

For the occasion, the GardaWorld garage was turned into a showroom to the delight of our guests. The Cash Services employees’ spouses and children had the opportunity to hop onboard different armored vehicles, and to see and touch different items: a safe, a genuine silver bullion, and some gold coins. Children were able to step into the shoes of their parents by trying on our sharp new uniforms specially sized for them, complete with the genuine GardaWorld lion seal crest and bulletproof vest. At the end of the visit, guests were invited to the shooting range, where they were educated on different gun models used by our employees in the line of duty.

What impressed children the most? The size of our trucks (especially the T-804, an 18-wheeler model), and the thickness of bulletproof glass. Adult guests were surprised by the size of the garage and its cleanliness, learning that our trucks are inspected and cleaned daily.

After the visit and a complimentary lunch, our guests returned home with a souvenir T-shirt, a balloon, and photos taken next to a truck. Our Cash Services employees were proud to show their workplace to their families, a rare opportunity given the strict rules that ensure the safety of the premises and employees at all times. The event enabled our team to give their families, even if only for a few hours, access to the world of Cash Services !
