On November 11, 2017, the GardaWorld European Union Border Assistance Mission (EUBAM) team in Libya, in partnership with the Moldovan Republic of Transnistria, held an event commemorating Remembrance Day in Tripoli, Libya.

The day consisted of an Act of Remembrance that took place at the Commonwealth War Graves Committee cemetery and a fundraising activity supporting the Royal British Legion.

Following the cemetery service, GardaWorld EUBAM team members participated in a physical activity of their choice (either swimming, running, rowing or riding) to raise money in support of the foundation.

With a total of 315 km of exercise endured, surpassing last year’s record of 245.27 km, Regional Director of GardaWorld Libya, Nigel Lea, was proud to donate, matching “dollar for kilometer” to the Royal British Legion.
