GardaWorld fundraises for The Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto

December 23, 2016

At GardaWorld, we recognize the importance of giving back to society. We want to have a positive social, economic and environmental impact on the communities where our employees and clients live and work.

Every year, GardaWorld Protective Services team in Toronto participates in The Hospital for Sick Children’s Holiday Toy Drive. This year was no different and our people were able to raise $2,500 during the Mississauga office’s holiday party alongside the GardaWorld Cash Services team. GardaWorld’s management donated $5,000 as well, taking the total raised to $7,500.

Not so far away from our Mississauga location, GardaWorld Aviation Services also participated in the Holiday Toy Drive. Pre-board screening officers at Pearson Airport volunteered to organize a bake sale event that took place on December 2. With help from vendors such as Subway, Starbucks, The Body Shop and Rocky Mountain Chocolates among others, our people from terminals 1 and 3 exceeded their initial fundraising goal of $2,500 and actually raised $4,383 to purchase Christmas gifts for the sick children.
