GardaWorld Gives Back to Washington D.C. Schools

February 8, 2012

Students at the King Elementary School in Washington D.C.  can now view their city as it was in 1871 thanks to artwork from GardaWorld’s offices in Oakton Virginia.

The lithograph, “View of Washington City 1871” by Edward Sachse, an artist renowned for his depictions of the Civil War,  was one of a number of items donated to the Washington D.C. public schools by GardaWorld’s U.S. office, which is relocating from Oakton to the downtown Washington area.
