Little Brothers is an organization with the mission to provide support to elderly people living alone (the “Elder Friends”) in order to fight against their isolation and to accompany them until the end of their lives.

The Little Brothers’ annual fundraiser was held for the 19th consecutive year on Monday, March 13, 2017 at the Montreal Science Center. This year’s goal was to raise $125,000 to offer Elder Friends a vacation stay in Oka.

GardaWorld has been partnering with the organisation for a several year now and donated this year $7,500. In addition to supporting the fundraising, this sponsorship allowed 8 of the 30 Elder Friends and their 4 companions to attend the IMAX Evening.

Members of the GardaWorld team were attending to the cocktail reception to support the Little Brothers:

  • Jean-François Leduc, Chief Information Officer

  • Éric Perreault, Director of Human Resources

  • Yannick Drapeau, Executive Director of Special Projects for GardaWorld Protective Services,

  • Rachida El-Jastimi, Senior Director of GardaWorld HR Services,

  • Sylvain Paquette, branch manager for GardaWorld Transport of securities.

They had the opportunity to meet with the event co-chairs; Marie-Claude Boisvert, Senior Vice President, Business Services at Desjardins Group, and Alain Lafortune, Executive Vice President, Purchasing and Marketing at Jean Coutu Group.

At the end of the evening, the Little Brothers have exceeded their goal by raising

$149,500!
