On May 3rd, GardaWorld Security had the pleasure of hosting a webinar to discuss innovative programs that have helped to reduce violence in the healthcare sector.
Guest speakers included our partners from the Phoenix Children’s Hospital, the Fraser Health Authority in British Columbia, Unity Health in Toronto, and Toronto’s Centre for Addiction and Mental Health.
We've seen an increase in workplace violence and mental health cases in the last two years, which has been extremely taxing on healthcare practitioners. Specialized training, a focus on customer care, and the creation of new violence assessment tools have been the focus of security initiatives created in collaboration with healthcare staff to help decrease violent incidents in hospitals and healthcare facilities.
