Mocko Yilla, GardaWorld Security Guard at the Miziwe Biik Aboriginal Employment and Training Centre in Toronto, is the only member of the security team on this site. But Mocko’s presence definitely doesn’t go unnoticed.

Tasked with keeping clients safe and maintaining order in a high-stress environment, Mocko’s mastered the art of balancing assertiveness and friendliness to resolve any potential issues. This can prove to be a challenge for some, but providing A+ customer service is Mocko’s specialty.

How does he do it? The key is treating everyone with the respect you expect in return. The Miziwe Biik staff knows they can depend on Mocko. Moreover, they found a friend in him.

In Fall 2017, the Miziwe Biik management team awarded the Employee of the Quarter title to Mocko – an award typically reserved for Miziwe Biik staff.

A pillar in the community and an integral part of GardaWorld and the Miziwe Biik Aboriginal Employment and Training Centre, Mocko Yilla went on to win the Association of Professional Security Agency (APSA) award for Security Guard of the Year in June 2018.

Congratulations, Mocko! Keep up the stellar work!
