July 13, 2016

Security Products and Technology News’s Top 10 under 40 presents the most influential decision-makers in the security industry under 40.

Scott Young, Director of Business Development for Western Canada, joined GardaWorld in 2006. From his first day onwards, he never ceased to evolve; assuming positions in account management, sales and business development and now deeply involved in RFP strategy from price point determination to customized client solutions. This journey has led him to live and work in Edmonton, Calgary and now Vancouver.

Scott was recently named Chair of the Canadian Pacific Chapter of ASIS International, the global association of security professionals within which he has been an active member and executive committee member since 2010. He continuously educates himself not only about the security industry but also the contemporary societal trends that transform and disrupt the status quo. To be better equipped to face challenges, Scott just completed an MBA program focused on Strategy and Organizational Design through Athabasca University.

His desire to impact both the security industry and his generation of young professionals is undoubtedly what sets Scott apart and led him to be recognized by Security Products and Technology News as an integral part of its Top 10 under 40.

At GardaWorld, we learn from and adapt to the challenges of today’s complex world to provide effective security services and business solutions to our clients. Scott Young embodies how our entrepreneurial spirit carries into everything that we do as a company, a team and a trusted partner for our clients.

We are very proud of you Scott, congratulations!
