Vice President & Senior Advisor of Industrial Projects and Aboriginal Relations at GardaWorld receives President’s Award

On November 16, 2017, Cy King, Vice President & Senior Advisor of Industrial Projects and Aboriginal Relations at GardaWorld, received the President’s Award. This prestigious award, presented by Ron Quintal, Fort McKay Métis President, honors one McKay Métis business partner who demonstrates outstanding contributions to the economic, social, and cultural well-being of the Fort McKay Métis community.

Recipients of the President’s Award are determined based on fiscal year performance, safety, business growth, and social and monetary contributions to the community. 

 

About the Fort McKay Métis Community

Located 60 km north of Fort McMurray, this non-profit society has faced unprecedented change over the past 30 years, manifesting both opportunities and challenges. With passion and persistence, the McKay Métis community is committed to overcoming obstacles by following traditional teachings and focusing on grassroots development. This community is determined to build and maintain a strong, culturally vibrant, and most importantly, a sustainable and autonomous community.
