Security Guard Training Alberta Course Content and Duration
Our 40-hour training—recognized and required by the Ministry of Justice and Solicitor General of Alberta (MJSG) prior to applying for the security guard license—provides students with the occupational and behavioral skills and attitude necessary to deal with their many occupational responsibilities.
Upon completion of this Security Guard Training Alberta course, the student will understand:
- The security industry
- The Canadian legal system
- Basic security procedures
- Communication for security professionals
- Documentation and evidence
- Emergency response procedures
- Health and safety for security
Requirements
- Have access to a computer with an Internet connection
- Be 18 years or older at the time of registration
- Have no criminal record
- Ability to read and write in English
