An indefinite national strike called for by the SUNTrACS construction union is set to begin on Wednesday, April 18. An associated protest took place in multiple parts of Panama City (notably including in the Punta Pacifica neighborhood) on Friday, April 13, causing traffic disruptions. Striking workers may carry out additional related protests in the coming days.
