Cuban state media has reported that over 100 people have died after a Boeing 737 crashed just after takeoff near José Martí International Airport (HAV) in Havana at approximately 12:40 (local time) on Friday, May 18. According to initial reports, three people have survived the crash and are in the hospital in critical condition. The plane was scheduled to operate a domestic flight from Havana to the eastern city of Holguin. An investigation has been launched to determine the cause of the accident.
