Typhoon Prapiroon made landfall on the Korean peninsula on Monday, July 2, causing floods and mudslides, one fatality in Yeonggwang (South Jeolla province), and transportation disruptions. Dozens of flights were canceled on Monday nationwide and ferry services were restricted, with traffic suspended along several lines. 

Meteorological authorities have issued warnings for people living in Jeju and South Jeolla provinces. Localized flooding, landslides, and thunderstorms could continue into Tuesday, July 3.


People present in South Korea over the next two days are advised to monitor weather conditions, anticipate transportation disruptions, and obey any instructions issued by local authorities.
