As of Monday, July 23, a total of 225 wildfires were burning in Ontario and British Columbia. Dozens of ongoing wildfires have also been reported in northern Manitoba. In British Columbia, authorities have issued evacuations orders for the area surrounding Mitten Lake, and in the area west of Mount Eneas. Evacuation orders have been issued for the Ontario municipalities of Kilarney and Key Harbour. The wildfires are expected to spread in the coming days. Additional evacuations and road closures are possible in areas threatened and affected by the fires.
