José R. Aispuro Torres, the governor of Durango state, confirmed that none of the 103 passengers on the Aeroméxico plane that crashed near General Guadalupe Victoria International Airport (DGO) on Tuesday, July 31, were killed. At least 49 passengers were hospitalized for their injuries, including the pilot and one other person who are both in critical but stable condition. The plane crashed in a field shortly after take-off around 15:30 (local time). Operations resumed at DGO later on Tuesday night. According to initial reports, a gust of wind hit the plane, causing it to lose speed and hit the ground. An investigation into the accident is ongoing.

Travelers flying to or from DGO are advised to confirm the status of their flight prior to departure for the airport.
