Water cuts were reported in the Montplaisir neighborhood of Tunis on Thursday, August 9. According to the SONEDE water utility, the most affected areas include Avenue Khaireddine Pacha and Avenue Mohamed V. The disruptions to the water supply were reportedly caused by repair work on a water pipeline. Further water cuts are possible in Tunis in the coming hours and days.


Those present in the affected areas of Tunis are advised to be prepared for water cuts (stock up on bottled water), limit water usage (including flushing toilets), and adhere to any instructions issued by the local authorities.
