At least four people, including two police officers, were killed in a shooting incident in the city of Fredericton (New Brunswick province), which began at approximately 07:00 (local time) on Friday, August 10. Shortly after 11:00, Fredericton police confirmed that the situation had been contained and there was no further threat to the public. All lockdown orders have been lifted. However, an investigation into the incident is ongoing and an increased police presence should continue to be expected in the vicinity of Brookside Drive.
