A protest is expected to take place outside Senegal’s embassy in Abidjan on Thursday, August 16. Senegalese expatriates are protesting the recent decision to recall a popular diplomat from the embassy and are demanding he be reinstated. A similar protest was held on Monday, August 13. Heightened security measures and localized traffic disruptions are anticipated in the area.


Individuals in Abidjan are advised to avoid any protests or demonstrations as a precaution.
