The Thai authorities have issued storm warnings for 58 of Thailand's 76 provinces through Saturday, August 18, due to the arrival of Tropical Storm Bebinca. Flooding and landslides are likely throughout much of the country, including the North, Northeast, Central Plains, and the South regions, notably in areas along the Mekong River. Landslides are particularly likely in the southern provinces of Surat Thani, Ranong, and Phangnga.

Heavy rains lashed capital Bangkok on the afternoon of August 15, flooding streets and snarling traffic.

Individuals present in the above areas are advised to keep abreast of weather forecasts, anticipate localized flooding and associated road hazards, and adhere to any instructions issued by local authorities.
