Unidentified gunmen reportedly shot at the US Embassy in Ankara on the morning (local time) of Monday, August 20. According to media reports, the attackers opened fire from a car before fleeing the area. No casualties have been reported as of 06:40 (local time). Security forces have been deployed to the embassy and an investigation is ongoing. The motive for the attack is unclear.
