Anti-government extremists launched a complex attack in Kabul around 09:30 (local time) on Tuesday, August 21. Militants seized a mechanic shop near the Eid Gah Mosque, south of the Shash Darak neighborhood. Clashes involving the use of rocket propelled grenade (RPG) between the Afghan security forces and militants are ongoing. Further details have yet to emerge as of 10:15.
