Ethiopia News Alert

E-visa service launched for tourists visiting Ethiopia

TIMEFRAME expected from 8/21/2018, 12:00 AM until 8/31/2018, 11:59 PM (Africa/Addis_Ababa). COUNTRY/REGION Ethiopia

The Ethiopian government has recently launched an e-visa program for tourists visiting the country. Ethiopian authorities say that obtaining an e-visa will allow travelers to avoid visa queues upon arrival at airports. Travelers will still be able to obtain the tourist visa, which allows for stays of 30 or 90 days, upon arrival at Addis Ababa Airport (ADD).

Travelers are advised to monitor the situation. Further information is available on Ethiopia's Department for Immigration website.
