Hundreds demonstrate in Sarajevo on August 28 to denounce violence against journalists

Hundreds of demonstrators gathered in front of the National Theatre in Sarajevo on Tuesday, August 28, to denounce an attack on a reporter in Banja Luka, which took place on Sunday, August 26. Associated marches were also held on Tuesday in Zenica and Mostar. A similar demonstration took place on Monday, August 27, to denounce a recent spate of assaults on independent journalists and to demand that the government investigate the August 26 attack. Further protests are possible in Bosnia, notably in Sarajevo, in the coming days.
