A bomb threat has been reported at the Mall of Africa (Midrand, near Johannesburg) on Wednesday, August 29, prompting authorities to evacuate and close the mall. Emergency responders are on the scene and have opened an investigation. Nelson Mandela Square in Sandton had also been partially evacuated on Wednesday due to a bomb threat; authorities later deemed the area safe, allowing regular trading to resume.
