A massive fire broke out at the National Museum of Brazil in Rio de Janeiro at approximately 19:00 (local time) on Sunday, September 2. According to local media reports, the fire was still out of control as of 21:00 and firefighting efforts are ongoing. No casualties have been reported and parts of the interior of the building have reportedly collapsed. Details are still emerging.
