Thousands of hotel workers in Chicago (Illinois) began a strike on Friday morning (local time), September 7, to demand improved benefits. Protesters gathered outside at least 25 hotels throughout the city beginning at 05:00 on Friday. It has not been reported how long the strike is expected to last as of Friday morning.
