On the morning of Wednesday, September 12, at least six people were killed and two others seriously wounded in an explosion at a petro-chemical factory situated in Bijnor (Uttar Pradesh state). The explosion occurred when the boiler of the factory was being repaired. According to the authorities, the explosion has been blamed on a technical issue; terrorism has been ruled out.


Individuals present in Uttar Pradesh state are advised to stay away from the site of the blast, anticipate local road restrictions, and adhere to any instructions issued by the local authorities.
