The discovery of unexploded ordnance temporarily closed one of two runways at Tokyo's Narita International Airport (NRT) on the morning of Thursday, September 13. Contractors discovered an unexploded shell near Runway A around 03:30 (local time), prompting a closure of the runway at 05:30. Police cleared the object and the runway was reopened at 08:30. No flights were canceled, but Narita airport operators warn that some delays are possible.
