Electricity was disrupted for approximately 30 minutes beginning at 01:20 (local time) in 19 areas: Jurong, Boon Lay, Choa Chu Kang, Clementi, Pandan Loop, Aljunied, Geylang, Tanjong Rhu, Mountbatten, Kembangan, Bedok, East Coast, Ang Mo Kio, Bishan, Thomson, Mandai, Admiralty, Sembawang, and Woodlands.
The blackout was due to a partial loss of electricity supply from two power generation companies. The last major blackout occurred on June 1 in the Central Business District, affecting the area for half an hour.
