According to the latest forecasts, Rosa is expected to weaken into a tropical storm before making landfall on Tuesday, October 2, on the northwestern coast of the peninsula. Rosa could potentially bring heavy rain and flooding to the region early next week, along with strong winds and dangerous surf. Associated transportation disruptions are also possible.

Individuals in the above areas are advised to follow local weather forecasts and adhere to any advice issued by regional authorities. In the event of flooding, keep in mind that driving or walking through running water can be dangerous - 15 cm (6 in) of running water is enough to knock over an adult.
