Ireland: Housing protests in Dublin

Various civil society groups and unions are planning to hold a demonstration in Dublin on Wednesday, October 3, to protest housing issues in the city. The rally will be held outside Leinster House (the parliament building) from 12:30 until 14:00 (local time) under the banner “Raise the Roof.” While the event is expected to remain peaceful, localized traffic disruptions are expected in the area.

Associated protests have been held in Dublin in recent weeks. On September 12, hundreds of people participated in a march causing traffic and public transportation disruptions in Dublin.

Individuals in Dublin are advised to monitor the situation and avoid all demonstrations as a precaution.
