Following successful negotiations with the airline, the union representing Aeroméxico pilots called off a strike planned for Wednesday, October 3. The 1400 pilots agreed to a 5.15 percent salary increase offered by Aeroméxico along with other benefits.

Aeroméxico suspended some benefits for pilots following a July 31 plane crash in Durango, prompting threats for a strike by the union. Aeroméxico is Mexico's flag carrier and largest airline.

Travelers are advised to confirm the status of their flights prior to departure for the airport.
