Following a strike on October 18, employees of Lisbon's underground metro system have scheduled a second round of strikes for Tuesday, November 6, from 06:30-09:30 (local time). This round is set to coincide with Web Summit 2018 (November 5-8), which will take place in Lisbon. Substantial delays and cancellations are expected throughout the city on November 6.

Metro workers are demanding a salary increase. The October 18 strike caused substantial delays throughout the city during the morning commute.

Individuals in Lisbon are advised to monitor developments to the situation, avoid all protests and large public gatherings as a precaution, and allow for extra time to reach their destinations.
