Significant disruptions are affecting the South Western Main Line on Wednesday, October 24, due to a signal failure. All lines between Woking and Surbiton - including Alton, Basingstoke, Woking, Portsmouth Harbour, and Dorking services into London-Waterloo - have been impacted. South Western Railway has advised passengers to seek alternative modes of transportation. Disruptions are expected to persist until at least noon (local time).


Traffic on the South Western network was already disrupted by an ongoing five-day strike, set to last until October 27.
