Baggage handlers at Brussels-Zaventem International Airport (BRU), employed by the company Aviapartner, launched a surprise strike on Thursday evening, October 25 (local time), which continues as of Friday. As such, delays in baggage delivery as well as at baggage check-in counters are to be anticipated, along with flight delays and cancelations. The strike coincides with the beginning of the fall school holidays, a busy travel period. It is unclear when operations will return to normal.
