On Friday, October 26, the Moroccan government announced its decision to cancel a switch to Winter time on Sunday, October 28. Morocco will therefore observe GMT +1 until a temporary time switch for the month of Ramadan. School and work schedules, however, will be delayed by one hour, as will much of the public transport network.
The government cited energy savings in its decision to cancel the switch.
Travelers in Morocco are advised to remain abreast of the observed time, confirm travel reservations, and follow the advice of local authorities.
