A wildcat strike launched by baggage handlers at Brussels-Zaventem International Airport (BRU) on October 25 is expected to continue until at least 19:00 (local time) on Monday, October 29, and likely longer. The strike, by employees of the company Aviapartner, has resulted in major disruptions, including hundreds of flight cancelations and the suspension of checked bag services. Some flights have been rerouted to Brussels-Charleroi (CRL) and Amsterdam-Schiphol (AMS) international airports. Further such disruptions are to be anticipated throughout the duration of the walkout.
