Border controls will be temporarily restored from Friday, November 23, to Sunday, December 16, in Poland, on the occasion of the Conference on Climate Change (COP 24), which will take place December 3-14, in Katowice. Associated delays are likely at land border crossings as well as at ports, airports, and international train stations. Furthermore, transportation disruptions and increased demand are possible throughout the duration of the conference.


Poland is a member of the Schengen Area.


Individuals traveling to or from Poland are advised to carry proper documentation - e.g. passport, national identity card issued by an EU member state, visa, etc. - and be prepared for longer wait times at Polish borders.
