Ongoing protest in Tbilisi November 12; associated transportation disruptions and potential violence expected

Protests ongoing in the capital Tbilisi since November 10 continue as of Monday, November 12. Participants have gathered and erected tents near the parliament building on Rustaveli Avenue. Transportation disruptions are expected. Minor clashes occurred between protesters and police on November 10; further violence cannot be ruled out.


The protests are being held to denounce the country's judicial system following the deaths of two young men killed in December 2017. 


Individuals in Tbilisi are advised to keep abreast of the situation and avoid all protests as a precaution.
