Flash flood watches and warnings are in effect in various areas in the southeast of the country as of early Wednesday, November 14. The alerts, issued by the National Weather Service, are currently place in parts of the following states: Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia. Associated transportation disruptions are possible.
Individuals in the above areas are advised to follow local weather reports and adhere to any advice or instruction issued by the local authorities. Remember that driving or walking through running water can be dangerous - 15 cm (6 in) of running water is enough to knock over an adult.
