Crowded conditions and transportation delays are anticipated across the US during and in the run-up the Thanksgiving holiday weekend that runs from Thursday, November 22, through Sunday, November 25. According to the American Automobile Association (AAA), a record 54.5 million people are expected to travel during the holiday November 19-25. Airports in major urban areas will likely experience some of the highest numbers of passengers of the year.


Thanksgiving is traditionally one of the busiest travel periods in the United States.


Individuals in the United States are advised to expect increased travel times and crowded conditions at airports and train stations during the holiday period.
