Antigovernment protests are set to take place in the capital Sofia on Sunday, November 18, and Monday, November 19. Participants will reportedly gather at Prince Alexander I Square from 15:00 (local time) on November 18, and at the National Assembly from 18:30 on November 19. Transportation disruptions are expected as participants plan to erect roadblocks in the vicinity of the protests.
Protests are being held in Bulgaria to denounce worsening socioeconomic conditions, including a rise in fuel prices. On November 11, protesters blocked roads and majors highways throughout the country.
Individuals in the country are advised to monitor developments and road conditions and avoid all protests as a precaution.
